MEDIA POSITIONS

1 - Media Planner

Qualification

  • 1-2 years of media planning and/or buying experience in the Asian market
  • Experience in both digital and traditional media preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in analyzing data or market research
  • Multi-task, detail-oriented, team player
  • Must speak one or more Asian languages (South Asian languages, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc)
  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • BA or equivalent experience required

Key responsibilities

  • Develops media strategy and recommendations under supervisor's guidance
  • Assembles media consideration and make recommendations on how to best allocate campaign budgets
  • Presents media plans and provides plan maintenance, including objectives/strategies and updates
  • Prepares flowcharts and budgets for media plans using Excel, PowerPoint, and other software
  • Manages and monitors ongoing campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are executed properly and according to client expectations
  • Handle any client requests, i.e. plan changes, budget changes, media information
  • Meet with media sales reps and industry representatives on a regular basis to pursue ideas strategically aligned with the client's business
  • Coordinates and communicates with various departments on status of projects
  • Generate material booking forms
  • Prepares and issues media buys and ensures proper execution
  • Generate post-buy analysis reports
  • Participates in brainstorming sessions.

2 - Media Assistant (South Asian or Filipino preferred)

A media assistant may work for a media organization, advertising agencies, public relations companies or any general company and helps with a number of tasks related to these fields. Leading multicultural advertising agency with Fortune 500 companies in search of a Bi-Lingual Media Assistant (South Asian or Filipino preferred). A hard working, detail-oriented, multi-tasking team player with strong media planning skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Has to handle calls of the media department and assist the media manager or operation manager in general administrative duties
  • Must coordinate with advertising agencies and other media companies
  • Has to plan meetings and make arrangements for appointment
  • Prepares and implement media plans or any other media-related events
  • Has to make a calendar of events for his/her company
  • Responsible for making press releases
  • Has to maintain office files and update mailing and contact lists
  • Takes care of all press releases, programs, advertisements, and other promotional activities
  • Has to keep himself/herself up to date with the media trends, arrange and monitor advertising response surveys
  • Collects and present advertisement response data
  • Has to prepare and monitor the budget, the money spent and the response received
  • Must monitor press coverage and respond to any media query
  • Should follow what the competition is doing and keep himself/herself abreast of the latest developments in this field

Skills and Specifications

  • A media assistant must be motivated and confident
  • Should have strong communication and networking skills
  • Must be organized and be able to multi-task
  • Must be good with numbers
  • Must speak one of South Asian languages or Filipino
  • Knowledge of computers and certain software required for this field is also helpful

Education and Qualifications In order to be a media assistant one needs to have a bachelor's degree or diploma in mass communication with specialization in marketing, public relations or media management

3 - Media Planner (YEC001)

Conduct strategic media planning and execution analysis for business targeting Asian-American market, using AdWord, DART/DFA, strategic media planning; Develop and execute automated television campaign targeting, customization and interactivity, applying reach/frequency planning and digital campaign planning; Research, design and develop advertiser, agency and media strategy and plans for real time targeted media planning processes and solutions; Develop and execute product specific media strategy for Asian American market adoption.

Must have a Master's Degree in Media Studies, Public Relations, or Marketing plus skills in DART/DFA, media planning processes, reach/frequency planning, digital campaign planning.
