CNN Hero of the Year is Filipino American
Congrats to Filipino American Robin Lim for winning the CNN Hero of the Year award last night. She grew up in the Philippines and moved to Indonesia where she offers free prenatal care, birthing services and medical aid.
To know more about her, she released a book titled “Butterfly People†in November last year. The novel is set in Baguio City, her hometown in the Philippines. It is based on the life of her grandmother and their family’s history.
