Increase CPR Awareness and Accessibility
Studies show that only 1 in 4 Asian Americans are confident they could correctly perform Hands-Only CPR and that women who experience cardiac arrest outside a hospital are less likely than men to receive lifesaving CPR. This disparity is even more pronounced for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women.*
To address these disparities, ADMERASIA partnered with the American Heart Association to launch the organization's first AAPI-focused national awareness initiative — "Today You Were Ready," a campaign aimed at increasing Hands-Only CPR awareness among AAPI communities, particularly women.
The campaign's creative focused on the unique cultural and societal challenges faced by AAPI women, spotlighting their courage and love while saving lives with Hands-Only CPR. This impactful initiative serves historically underrepresented and underserved AAPI communities, providing culturally competent content and resources to improve health outcomes.
"Today You Were Ready" won Silver in the Small Budget Category at the 2024 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards.
