Advocate for AAPI Inclusivity
The Make Us Visible Coloring Book series is a collaborative effort between ADMERASIA and Make Us Visible (MUV), a volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to integrating the history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders into K-12 curricula through legislative action.
Initiated in 2021, the book series features a wide range of AAPI historical figures in American history depicted by illustrations contributed from various AAPI artists. It has reached thousands of students, teachers, parents, administrators, and members of Congress across the country.
This ongoing effort has resulted in the distribution of over 12,000 books, reaching 24 state chapters, and securing over 500 legislative co-sponsors. Our most recent installment was a collaboration between ADMERASIA, MUV, and the National Park Service. This outreach contributed to the passage of 7 laws in 5 states.
